Peyton Ruddy (Comics Unleashed, LMAOF) Live at Denver Comedy Underground

SELF-DEPRECATING, UNFILTERED, AND VERY HARD TO IGNORE

Peyton Ruddy has built a following with the kind of stand-up that feels loose, quick, and completely comfortable making himself the punchline.

His comedy is self-deprecating, sharp, and unapologetically honest, whether he’s talking about himself, the people around him, or whatever has caught his attention lately. He has a way of leaning all the way into a joke, especially when he is the one taking the hit.

That same personality has helped Peyton’s “my best work” videos reach a huge audience online, giving people a steady supply of short, ridiculous glimpses into his comedy.

He also reached a wider audience with an appearance on Kill Tony, where his stand-up introduced even more people to the slightly chaotic, very self-aware style that has become his thing.

The clips are only part of it, though. Live, Peyton gets a full room and a lot more time to see where the joke goes.

FROM CHICAGO COMEDY TO AUSTIN

Peyton started performing stand-up in the Chicago suburbs when he was just 17 years old, giving him a head start on figuring out how to make a room laugh before most people his age had figured out what they wanted to do at all.

He worked his way into the Chicago comedy scene before eventually moving to Austin, Texas, where he has continued developing his stand-up and building a reputation as a young comic worth watching.

His credits include Comics Unleashed and LMAOF, while his growing online audience has helped introduce his comedy to people well beyond the rooms where he first started performing.

And somewhere along the way, fellow comedians started calling him “cutesy wootsey fat shit.”

Peyton embraced it, obviously.

That mix of confidence, self-awareness, and willingness to make himself the target is a big part of what makes his comedy work. He usually knows exactly what the joke is - and gets there before you have the chance.

MORE THAN JUST THE VIRAL CLIPS

It is easy to discover Peyton through a clip, but stand-up gives him a lot more room to play.

His short-form videos capture the quick punchlines and personality that made people start sharing his comedy, while the live show lets that same style stretch into longer stories, sharper observations, and whatever happens once Peyton has an audience in front of him.

If you have already been sending his “my best work” videos to your friends, this is your chance to see what happens when he gets more than a minute.

And if this is your first introduction to him, even better.
